R.A.D. Systems: Executive Board
This incredible network
of Instructors is governed by an all female Executive Board, who
in turn manage Rape Aggression Defense Systems, Inc. Communication
is maintained within this alliance through The Instructor's Voice, a quarterly
publication for Instructors only, through innovative Internet use and through
the R.A.D. International Training and Certification Conference conducted
every July. The members of the Executive Board are as follows:

Jan Barrymore

Jan received her Associates Degree in Law Enforcement in 1974 and joined the
US Army Military Police Corp in 1975. She served in Germany, Korea and then
returned to civilian life as a Corrections Officer at the women's prison
in Kansas. She attended the first R.A.D. Instructor's Program in 1991 while
working at CNU and then moved to The College of William and Mary, primarily
investigating sexual assaults. In 1997, Jan received her M.Ed. in Counseling
and is currently the Crisis Intervention Specialist at a women's domestic
violence/sexual assault shelter.

Theresa has
been a R.A.D. Instructor since April of 1991, where she attended the very
first R.A.D. Instructors Program. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree
in Criminology from Indiana University of PA and then worked 10 years as the
Administrative Supervisor for the Security Department at Virginia Wesleyan
College. Theresa is a staff instructor in the Basic Physical Defense System
and r.a.d.KIDS Awareness and Defense System. She is also the editor of R.A.D.'s
Newsletter, The Instructors Voice.

Sheri Iachetta
|
Sheri has been with R.A.D. Systems
since it began in 1989. She has undergraduate and master's degrees from
Radford University and started her career in Student Affairs at Old Dominion
University and The College of William and Mary. From 1994, she worked
full time as the Systems Coordinator for R.A.D., and the Academy Coordinator
for the Tidewater Academy Law Enforcement Training Division. Sheri is
currently the Registar for Charlottesville, Virginia. She is a
Staff Instructor for the radKIDS Awareness and Defense System, and Senior
Staff Instructor for the Basic Physical Defense System.

Kathy is a former City of Buffalo
and Virginia Beach Police Officer with 14 years experience. She is a Staff
Instructor in the Advanced Self Defense Program as well as a Staff Instructor
in the Basic Physical Defense System. Kathy is a Personal Fitness
Specialist (Cooper Institute), and a law enforcement staff Instructor at
the National Academy of Defense Education in Virginia. A former Adjunct Instructor with Heckler and
Koch, I.T.D., Kathy teaches defensive tactics skills nationwide.
